1. Acceptance and eligibility
By using BobNJob, submitting a listing, sending an inquiry, starting a BobQuest, applying for a professional profile or contacting a service professional, you agree to these Terms and the applicable marketplace policies. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement.
2. BobNJob's role
BobNJob provides a local marketplace for discovering home-improvement goods, local project-tool rental offers, contractor and junk-removal profiles, and requested introductions. BobNJob is not the buyer, seller, tool owner, renter, manufacturer, installer, appraiser, contractor, junk-removal provider or carrier for listed items, tools or services.
BobNJob does not currently process payments or hold deposits. A user may request protected payment, but no money is taken with that request and official checkout is available only after the transaction details are confirmed. BobNJob does not provide delivery, inspect tools, guarantee transactions or take title to listed goods. Any purchase, rental or service agreement is directly between the participating users.
BobQuest is a request-and-match service. Submitting a request does not guarantee that BobNJob will locate an item, identify a seller, secure a price or complete a transaction.
3. Seller responsibilities
By submitting an item, the seller represents that:
- The seller owns the item or has authority to sell it.
- The listing, price, photos and condition are accurate.
- Known defects, hazards and missing components are disclosed.
- The item is lawful to sell and is not prohibited or recalled.
- The seller will promptly mark the item sold or request removal when it is unavailable.
Sellers grant BobNJob a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format and display submitted listing content for operating and promoting the marketplace. Sellers retain ownership of their content.
4. Buyer responsibilities
Buyers are responsible for inspecting items, confirming measurements and condition, evaluating suitability, checking applicable recalls and deciding whether to complete a transaction. Buyers should use a qualified professional where installation, disconnection, structural removal, permits, building codes or safety are involved.
5. Tool-rental responsibilities
Rental offers must be for tools used in home improvement, renovation, repair, property maintenance, or landscaping projects. Tool owners must have authority to rent the tool, describe its condition accurately, disclose known defects or modifications, and provide required guards and safety features. Renters are responsible for confirming that they know how to use the tool, inspecting and testing it at handoff, using appropriate protective equipment, and following the manufacturer's instructions.
Before handoff, the owner and renter should agree directly on the rate, rental period, deposit, included accessories, return time, cleaning or fuel expectations, late return, loss, and damage. BobNJob does not determine or enforce those terms, collect payment, hold a deposit, provide insurance, or resolve damage claims.
6. Professional profile responsibilities
Contractor and junk-removal profile information is supplied by the applicant. The applicant represents that they have authority to create the profile, that the information is accurate, and that they will comply with all laws, licenses, permits and insurance requirements applicable to the services they offer.
BobNJob may review a profile before publication, but does not verify or endorse a professional's identity, license, permit, insurance, qualifications, workmanship, pricing or availability. Customers are responsible for independently checking credentials, references, insurance, permits, contracts and project suitability before hiring.
Junk-removal providers are responsible for accurately describing accepted items, capacity, pricing and reusable-material handling, and for complying with requirements that apply to their hauling, handling and disposal activities. Customers should confirm the final estimate, access, accepted items, labor, transportation and disposal plan directly with the provider.
7. Pickup, delivery, removal and payment
Buyers and sellers are responsible for agreeing on payment, timing, access, labor, removal, loading, delivery and transportation. A seller's delivery offer or negotiated delivery arrangement is made directly between the buyer and seller; BobNJob does not provide or guarantee delivery. The parties assume the risks associated with meeting, inspection, lifting, disassembly, removal, loading and transport.
Users must not represent that BobNJob requires a payment, deposit, upgrade or verification fee. Review the Marketplace Safety guidance before arranging a transaction.
8. Prohibited conduct
Users may not:
- Submit false, misleading, stolen, recalled or prohibited items.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent authority or identity.
- Attempt fraud, phishing, overpayment or verification-code scams.
- Harass, threaten, discriminate against or endanger another user.
- Interfere with the service, security or private management links.
- Collect or misuse another person's private information.
- Use BobNJob for unlawful activity.
9. Review, moderation and access
BobNJob may approve, edit for clarity, decline, hide or remove listings, professional profiles and inquiries at its discretion. BobNJob may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce policies, investigate concerns or comply with law. Review does not constitute inspection, verification, certification or endorsement of an item or person.
Buyer reviews are available only through private links connected to transactions BobNJob has recorded as completed. Reviewers must provide honest feedback based on their own transaction and may not manipulate ratings. BobNJob may remove reviews associated with fraud, error, abuse, policy violations or a transaction later found not to have occurred. A verified review confirms the recorded transaction path, not the identity of either party or the condition of every item.
10. Communications
By providing contact information and a preferred contact method, you authorize BobNJob to contact you about listings, rentals, professional profiles, inquiries, BobQuest requests, possible matches, safety, support and marketplace administration. Standard carrier messaging or data rates may apply to texts.
Saved-search and BobQuest demand alerts begin only after email confirmation. Each alert email includes a way to stop that specific alert.
11. Disclaimers
BobNJob is provided on an “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BobNJob disclaims warranties regarding item condition, quality, operation, safety, legality, title, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, user or professional identity, licenses, insurance, qualifications, workmanship, availability and transaction or project completion.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BobNJob will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for losses arising from user conduct, listed items, payments, meetings, tool use or rental, contractor or junk-removal services or inquiries, workmanship, deposits, loss, damage, injury, pickup, removal, installation or transportation. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Governing law and changes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. BobNJob may update these Terms as the marketplace develops. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
