Information we collect
Seller submissions
We collect the seller's name, email address, email-confirmation status, phone number, preferred contact method, general pickup area, pickup ZIP code, and a private exact pickup address used to calculate distance and coordinate an agreed sale pickup or accepted rental handoff, item category, brand or model information when provided, quantity, listing description, price, measurements, availability details and item photos.
Buyer inquiries
We collect the buyer's name, email address, optional or required phone number depending on the selected contact method, preferred contact method, message and the listing connected to the inquiry.
Marketplace distance checks
When you check how far away a sale item or rental is, BobNJob processes the address, city, ZIP code or browser location you choose to provide. That lookup location is used to return approximate mileage and is not saved with a listing or inquiry unless you separately submit an inquiry or rental request.
BobQuest requests
We collect the requested item, category, quantity or measurements, budget, general pickup area, timing, notes, an optional sample picture, name, email address, phone number when provided and preferred contact method.
Contractor profiles
We collect the chosen business or professional name, primary trade, services, service area, city and ZIP code, years of experience, profile description, up to five optional photos of completed work, and optional self-reported license and insurance information. We also collect private applicant contact details so BobNJob can review and administer the profile. A home or exact street address is not required for a contractor profile and is not displayed publicly.
Contractor inquiries
We collect the prospective customer's name, email address, phone number when provided, project ZIP code, preferred contact method, project message, any preferred availability slot selected, and the contractor profile connected to the inquiry.
Junk-removal profiles and inquiries
We collect the chosen business or professional name, service area, city and ZIP code, services offered, hauling capacity, pricing approach, reusable-material handling preference, items not accepted, years of experience, availability, profile description, optional work, vehicle or equipment photos, and optional self-reported license, permit and insurance information. We also collect private applicant contact details. Service inquiries may include the customer's name, email address, phone number, service city or ZIP code, preferred contact method, requested time and a description of what needs to be removed.
Marketplace alerts
When you request a saved-search or BobQuest demand alert, we collect the email address, selected category, condition or keywords, email-confirmation status and alert delivery history needed to operate and prevent duplicate alerts.
Verified transaction reviews
When BobNJob records a pickup as completed, we may create a private review link connected to the buyer inquiry, listing and seller. A submitted review contains a one-to-five-star rating and selected structured feedback. One review is allowed per completed transaction.
Technical information
Website hosting and security providers may process basic technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, timestamps and request logs needed to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service.

What becomes public
Published listings may display the item title, general pickup area, pickup ZIP code, brand or model information, quantity, photos, price, condition, measurements, pickup or delivery option, arrangement details, availability deadline and description. BobNJob does not publicly display the seller's email address, phone number or private Manage Listing link. Exact sale-item and tool-rental pickup addresses are not displayed publicly.
Seller photos are reprocessed before upload to remove embedded image metadata. Sellers should still avoid including addresses, faces, documents, license plates or other private details in the visible image itself.
BobQuest requests and their optional sample pictures are reviewed privately and are not displayed as public marketplace listings.
Published contractor profiles may display the chosen business or professional name, trade, services, service area, city and ZIP code, years of experience, profile description, current availability, photos of completed work and optional self-reported license or insurance information. The separate contact-person name and other private applicant contact details are not displayed. License and insurance information is self-reported and is not verified by BobNJob.
Published junk-removal profiles may display the chosen business or professional name, service area, city and ZIP code, services offered, hauling capacity, pricing approach, reusable-material handling, items not accepted, years of experience, current availability, profile description, photos and whether optional self-reported insurance information was provided. Separate contact-person details are not displayed.
Seller profiles may display an aggregate rating and structured feedback from completed transactions. Public reviews are labeled “Verified buyer”; the buyer's name, email address and phone number are not displayed with the review.
